The USA is on the fast track to bankruptcy, and even Mitt, ostensibly "fiscally conservative" can't think of anything better to help balance the federal budget than cancel NPR/Public TV funding. Whether you like public media or not, fiscally speaking it's entirely irrelevant.

Both candidates passed on the opportunity to tell the voters the truth: the four biggest items in the federal budget are the military, social security, medicare, and interest on the fast-growing debt. You could close the entire rest of the federal government and still not achieve balance without raising taxes.

Call me a truth monger, but I think that politician performance around this inconvenient truth is the moral equivalent of a lie.

So our fraudulent politicians will continue their fraudulent campaign and someone will "win." But the American people will continue to suffer the ills of poor government.

Kim G
Boston, MA
Where, due to the wonder of the electoral college, my presidential vote is completely irrelevant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6672834250325632231.post-61502190323282091742012-10-02T14:58:01.482-05:002012-10-02T14:58:01.482-05:00Jon Stewart's "news" often is the sa...Jon Stewart's "news" often is the sanest take on the elections.

Glad you like the blog.\

Al alcubanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12667546605871850986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6672834250325632231.post-82713158836466129442012-10-02T14:57:02.441-05:002012-10-02T14:57:02.441-05:00I've already read about possible candidates fo...I've already read about possible candidates for the next go around...
